Abraham Lincoln is well known for abolishing slavery during the civil war between the union and confederacy. He was a self-educated farmer who became the 16th President of the United States. On April 14, 1865, in the Ford theater when he was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. He then died the following day later at the Petersen house.
